I haven't run into this issue on my iPad yet, but some of you may have. The problem with charging the iPad form the USB port on your computer when you try to use it is that some USB ports can’t offer enough power to operate the iPad when it is in use.

That means that some users are left using wall power or not being able to use the iPad while it charges via a PC. Gigabyte has announced a new driver for some its existing AMD mainboard and the range of Intel X58, P55, H55, and H57 boards that allows the user to charge the iPad with it in the on or off state.

The driver is called the On/Off Charge driver and it is on the Gigabyte website right now. It supports a very wide range of Gigabyte mainboards. Check out the website for full compatibility.
