The screen is LED backlit, has a 1024 x 600 resolution, and can be viewed outdoors. The processor is the same 1.66GHz Atom and the machine runs Windows 7 Starter. Storage is to a 160GB or 250GB HDD and the netbook has 1GB of RAM.
Other features include WiFi, Bluetooth, memory card reader and three USB ports. Power for the netbook comes from a 6-cell battery and the machine weighs less than 2.8 pounds. The NB30 with the touchscreen is said to add about $164 to the price of the netbook, bringing it to around $500.
