Ford has announced a cool new feature for its sync system that will debut with the 2011 Fiesta. The new feature is called Sync AppLink and will allow the driver to have voice control over certain apps on their smartphone.
The program will work with Android and Blackberrysmartphones and allows for voice commands. A good example of how the app will work is by allowing the user control Pandora Internet radio apps. The driver would be able to change station on the app using their voice.
Ford reps also tell me that starting in 2011 ford will introduce AppLink on all Sync equipped vehicle. It’s cool to see Ford continuing to update Sync even though it's already a very cool system.

The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
