007 producers, Michael G Wilson and Barbara Broccoli of EON Productions announced in a brief press-release yesterday that they have suspended development on the next James Bond film previously scheduled for release 2011/2012. James Bond movies have been around since 1962, longer than I have been on this earth. I grew up with James and his gadgets, cars and girls. I never thought I would see the end of James in my life time.
The reason for the delay is the "continuing uncertainty surrounding the future of MGM". MGM is in a lot of trouble financially and is supposed to be sold.
I hope James Bond survives this financial turmoil and comes back for the 23rd movie. QUANTUM OF SOLACE was the last James Bond movie, featuring Daniel Craig as Bond.
