A chip-maker's job is never done. Intel is already hard at work on the next generation of their famed Atom processor. The current flagship chip is the Pine-Trail M, but it won't be the leader of the pack for long. Fudzilla reports that in 2H 2011, we will see the launch of the new Cedar Trail Atom processor.
This new processor will be 32nm and will pack in full HD support from Intel. It is estimated to lower the system TDP down to 5W. This chip will be fanless as well, which means sleeker and slimmer netbooks. The lower power draw means a longer battery life as well.
