The long-awaited Asus Eee Keyboard has a lot in common with Duke Nukem Forever. The constant delays and schizophrenic handling by Asus lead to doubts that the product would ever launch at all. But Asus came through, and the Eee Keyboard is on its way to an entertainment center near you. Electronista reports that Amazon.com is accepting pre-orders for this gadget.
The final price? $599. For that, you get a 5” capacitive touchscreen, 1.6 GHz atom processor, 1 GB of RAM, and a 16 GB SSD. The keyboard runs on Windows XP home. There's also WiFi, gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth, and wireless HDMI-out. Plus, carrying one of these around makes you look like a character in a William Gibson novel. What more could you want?
