The long-awaited Asus EeeKeyboard has a lot in common with Duke Nukem Forever. The constant delays and schizophrenic handling by Asus lead to doubts that the product would ever launch at all. But Asus came through, and the Eee Keyboard is on its way to an entertainment center near you. Electronista reports that Amazon.com is accepting pre-orders for this gadget.
The final price? $599. For that, you get a 5” capacitive touchscreen, 1.6 GHz atom processor, 1 GB of RAM, and a 16 GB SSD. The keyboard runs on Windows XP home. There's also WiFi, gigabit Ethernet, Bluetooth, and wireless HDMI-out. Plus, carrying one of these around makes you look like a character in a William Gibson novel. What more could you want?

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
