MSI has launched a new gaming notebook that was briefly mentioned back around CES. The new machine is called the GX640 and the beastie packs in some serious gaming hardware. The machine has a 15.4-inch LCD and uses Intel Core i5 CPUs.

Graphics for the machine are via the ATI Radeon HD5850 with 1GB of DDR5 RAM. The new GPU supports DirectX 11 and the machine has Intel Turbo Boost tech built-in.

The specific processor in the machine is the Core i5-430M, the screen has a resolution of 1680 x 1050, and it has 500GB of storage. The battery is a 9-cell unit and the notebook has HDMI out and other connectivity options. The machine sells for $1099.99, is on Amazon right now, and set for Newegg later.
