Apparently if you lose a top-secret Apple prototype, and it's because of German beer, the top German airline will become a big fan of you.
On its official Twitter page today, Lufthansa airline wrote, "At Lufthansa we also noted with great interest your passion for German beer and culture. We thought you could use a break soon - and therefore would like to offer you complimentary Business Class transportation to Munich, where you can literally pick up where you last left off."
Powell hasn't appeared publicly on any newscasts since the night when he left his iPhone 4G prototype at a German beer house in California. Lufthansa's offer would likely carry with it a requirement that he appear in promotional photos or make some kind of statement.
"We got some hints so far from people who know him," but he hasn't contacted Lufthansa directly about its offer said a spokesman for the airline, Martin Riecken, in a CBS News story.
It's a pretty generous offer. A round-trip business class ticket from California to Munich costs around $5,500. And we all know that Gray could probably use a vacation after all that's gone down...
