Rumors of Asus bringing an Android powerd tablet to the market appeared end of last year. Recent rumors pointed to a June launch date of the Asus Eee Pad.
Today Asus Chairman Jerry Shen has announced, at a conference in Taiwan, that the Asus Eee Pad will debut at the Computex 2010 (June 1st-5th) and should appear in retail channels in July.
The Eee Pad is Tegra-based and features a webcam, USB port and Adobe Flash support. The price is seen to be around $500. Via Digitimes.
It will be interesting if Windows and Android Tablets stand a chance against the Apple iPad.
