Velocity Micro Launches Cruz Tablet & Reader

Velocity Micro is the latest company to want a piece of the tablet wars. They've just introduced a tablet and an E-Reader (via Electronista). Both devices run on Android 2.1 and have support for Flash 10.1. They have color capacitive touchscreens and an 800 MHz processor powering them. VM is also working on a Cruz Market app store.

We don't know anything yet about capacity. These devices should be SD-capable. The tablet will have a 2 MP front-facing webcam and a docking station that will let the tablet act as a digital picture frame. The tablet will set you back $300, while the reader will only cost $200. Release dates have not been given yet-kudos on the awesome prices, though.

For more information, visit the Cruz Tablet home page and join their mailing list.
