Transfer an MP3 file in less than one one-hundredth of a second, or a term paper in the blink of an eye. That's the power of SuperSpeed USB 3.0, now fully utilized by Samsung's latest "Story" hard drive.
The Samsung Story Station 3.0 is a 3.5-inch external hard drive that offers data transfer speeds of up to 10 times what its previous Story products could do.
"The Samsung STORY™ Station 3.0 has been built for advanced users who demand fast transfer speed and data security without sacrificing design," said Samsung's storage product marketing VP H.S. Lee.
The device uses the new SuperSpeed USB 3.0 interface, which offers blazing transfer speeds of 5 gigabits per second, an enormous jump over USB 2.0's 480 Mbps rate.
The Story Station is available in sizes from 1 TB to 2 TB, and comes with a variety of data encryption and backup software programs.

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.
The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
