Wait, what? Twenty-six freaking cores? Engadget reports that Chinese manufacturer QderoPateo has just unveiled a new phone with the most powerful brain yet. The Ouidoo sports a 26 core processor capable of an 8-gigaflop floating point operation. The company brags that it has the power of “four iPads combined,”.
The “Divinitus” CPU (an appropriate name) is backed up by 512 MB of RAM, 4 GB of ROM, and 28 GB of built-in storage. There's also a microSD slot, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS, a built-in 3D map, accelerometer, digital compass, a 5 MP camera with flash, and 220 hours of standby battery life. The screen is 3.5”.
More information will be out soon. I really want to call shenanigans on this thing, but it is probably best to wait until they release a prototype. This whole thing reeks of vaporware, though.
