Palm Gets Gobbled Up by HP

Poor Palm has been taking a beating in the market with sales of its WebOS devices the Pre and Pixi simply not going well. The company has been on the ropes and was put up for sale. Early shoppers included HTC and Lenovo.

Neither of those two firms bit and Palm has now been snapped up by HP. HP is the world's largest PC maker and it's easy enough to imagine HP offering up its own smartphones with WebOS installed.

Hp executives have stated that HP wanted the WebOS operating system and in all honestly that is really the only good thing Palm has going. The purchase cost $1.2 billion.
