Zotac has elevated media box design to an art form. Their new ZBOX is slim, shiny, and looks great lined up next to a big flatscreen TV. This new box is available now and ships out for a paltry $250. Your handful of clams buys a dual-core Atom D510 with Ion 2 and 1 GB of RAM, plus b/g/n WiFi, HDMI and VGA.

Altogether, a solid minimalist media box. It won't break any world records for sheer horsepower, but the Ion 2 and D510 should ensure smooth, fast playback of 1080p video. 1 GB of RAM is a little light, but sufficient for a dedicated media box. The ZBOX has 6 dedicated USB ports, optical S/PDIF, eSATA and a card reader.
