The LG Ally didn't stay a secret very long. BGR has just received information that pre-orders for this device will begin on May 13. The Ally is an entry-level Android smartphone with a 600 MHz processor and 256 MB of RAM. This little mobile won't be winning any awards for power, but it enough hardware to do the job.
The Ally has a side-sliding QWERTY keyboard and runs on the Android 2.1 OS. Verizon has also installed Visual Voicemail and V CAST media manager. The display is a 3.2” touchscreen and the camera is a 3.2 MP shooter with autofocus and flash. The Ally will launch in all channels on May 20. All models will ship with a pre-installed 4 GB microSD card.
