Game publisher Bethesda hopes to suck a lot of money out of Fallout New Vegas, the new installment to the grossly high-selling Fallout franchise, by pumping in a whole ton of exclusive content into a special collector's edition package.
To go with the "Vegas" theme, the special edition bundle will include a handful of commemorative poker chips from made-up casinos in the game. There's also a deck of cards with Fallout characters as part of the design. Bethesda notes that the cards can be used to play "Caravan," a new card game created for Fallout New Vegas using a standard deck of playing cards.
In addition to those goodies, the standard special edition extras are here, like a DVD with exclusive behind-the-scenes footage of the game's production, and a graphic novel.
"We're offering this very cool collector's edition to give fans the opportunity to own some of the items that they'll discover while playing Fallout: New Vegas," said the studio's marketing VP Pete Hines.
The game is expected to be released later this year though no specific date has been announced. The special edition will be available across all platforms under the game's multi-console release: the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.
