Ah, the bitter price of success. MSNBC reports that Verizon is having trouble keeping up with the incredible demand for the HTC Incredible. As a carrier, this is pretty much the best problem you can be faced with. The new Droid sold some 100,000 units in the first two days after launch alone.
Big Red “cannot keep the phones on store shelves” according to Chief Executive Lowell McAdam. When a new shipment arrives, it sells out almost instantly. The primary cause of the delays is believed to be the Incredible's advanced AMOLED screen. Verizon expects the Incredible to handily outsell the Droid, once the supply issues are ironed out.
