The Nike+ iPod system has been around for a long time now. The system lets the runner keep up with their workouts using a sensor placed into special Nike shoes and the iPod. The service is offered on the iPhone as well.

A forum thread on the Nike+ discussion forums has revealed that a new feature is coming for the Nike+ system. A Nike+ compatible heart rate monitor is set to hit the market on June 1.

Keeping track of your heart rate while jogging is very important. The Nike+ forum admin that offered the launch date would not clarify pricing or any other details. We can only hope it works with the iPhone too.
