Bang & Olufsen products tend to be incredibly well designed, very attractive, and ludicrously over-priced. According to its press release, the BeoVision 8 is a 40” LCD HDTV with double frame rate technology (240 Hz) and motion compensation. It packs Dynamic Contrast technology to improve the accuracy of the contrast in each scene.
The BeoVision 8 comes with BeoLink home integration functionality. Extra video connections can be included with a plug-and-play unit. This TV's coolest feature is also its least tech-y; retractable feet to allow a wider variety and ease of set-up. Wall bracket solutions are also available. Now we get to the painful part; an MSRP of $5400.
Sorry B&O, your TV is beautiful, but for $5400 I expect a semi-sentient robot capable of cooking my breakfast and killing intruders.
