Wait, the article title says what? Seriously?
Huh. MacRumors.com has received word from tipsters and well-connected sources that Sprint plans to ready an iPhone for launch later this year. This device is likely to launch around September, the same anticipated time as the Verizon iPhone.
TechUpdate reports that a Best Buy employee has confirmed the launch, but this means next to nothing. Best Buy isn't in the habit of revealing secret Sprint business to line workers.
Still, there's been a lot of buzz around the Sprint iPhone today. Whenever multiple sources (however sketchy some may be) assert the same thing, it's worth looking into. Take these rumors with a grain of salt, but keep in mind that AT&T's exclusivity can't last forever. The Sprint iPhone isn't so much a question of 'will it launch' but 'when will it launch'?
