The LG Fathom has just launched on Verizon Wireless (MobileBurn). This smartphone runs on Windows Mobile 6.5.3, and may be the last phone ever to bear that OS. The Fathom has a sliding QWERTY keyboard, 3.2” resistive touchscreen, WiFi, and Bluetooth. It is 3G EV-DO Rev. A capable and comes with a stylus.
The Fathom can take microSD cards up to 16 GB and sports a surprising 1 GHz processor inside those lack-luster externals. (A resistive touchscreen? Really?) The Fathom will go on sale June 3 for $149.99 with a 2-year contract and after a $100 rebate. The required data plan is $29.99 per month.
