AT&T announced new lower priced data plans with new bandwidth limits. Along with the new plans, AT&T finally announced iPhone tethering. iPhone tethering will launch with the release of iPhone 4 OS. AT&T will charge an extra $20 per month for tethering.
To buy iPhone tethering you need to subscribe the $25 DataPro plan with 2GB bandwidth cap. As far as I understand the announcement you do not get additional bandwidth with the $20.
If you use more than 2GB you get an additional Gigabyte that will cost you $10.
I personally opted for USB Laptop wireless cards to get my laptop onto wireless networks. I use prepaid cards and its just way cheaper than choosing a tethering option.
