Finally, being square is cool again. Motorola has just officially announced the Flipout. This square phone has a swivelling QWERTY keyboard and a 2.8” QVGA TFT display. It has WCDMA 900/2100, GSM 850/900/1800/1900, and HSDPA 7.2 Mbps connectivity options. The OS is Android 2.1.
The Flipout has a 3 MP camera with digital zoom and fixed-focus. It has 512 MB of internal memory, plus an included 2 GB microSD card and support for up to a 32 GB card. Motorola's MotoBlur UI runs on top of this weird little smartphone. Altogether, a pretty nice mid-range smartphone.
