Last month I mentioned that HP was talking about using webOS on a line of web-connected printers. At the time, I said I didn’t see the real draw for a web-connected printer.

Today the New York Times has a story that wraps webOS and web-connected printers into something that is very appealing to me and likely to many of you. HP will be offering up printers that have their own email addresses.

Using web connectivity and likely webOS, the user would be able to email documents or pictures taken on a smartphone to the printer for printing. This would be a fantastic way for iPad and iPhone users to be able to print documents that are currently stuck in the device.
