The drive is called the My Book Studio LX and it features a customizable e-label. The e-Label can show whatever the user wants it to from drive contents to any other label and it is always on. WD formats the LX for Mac computers right out of the box.
You can get the drive with 1TB or 2TB of storage and the drive uses FireWire 800 for the interface. Data can be protected with 256-bit hardware-based encryption. The 1TB version of the drive sells for $199.99 and the 2TB version is $269.99.
