The HTC Evo is giving Sprint's voice service a pounding. Multiple reports have come in (via Engadget) that Sprint's voice service is down throughout New York City. Data services are still working, which cuts back on the sting a bit. Who needs to make a phone call when you've got Gchat and a bunch of IM clients?
Sprint has yet to issue an official statement about the outages. We'll update as more information develops.
