The other orientation of the room is too small to get the huge image I really want. What I need is a projector like the new Vivitek D795WT. This projector has the shortest throw I have ever seen for such large image. At only 1.3-feet from the wall or screen, the projector provides a 95-inch image.
The resolution of the projector is 1280 x 800 and it is 3D ready. Vivitek claims 3000 lumens of brightness and a 2500:1 contrast ratio. DLP and BrilliantColor technology is used and the projector has a 6000 hour lamp lie. Connectivity includes HDMI 1.3, VGA inputs x2, composite video, and S-video. The D795W will ship in August at an undisclosed price.
