Microsoft unveiled Kinect for Xbox 360, formerly known as Project Natal, yesterday at a lavish Cirque du Soleil show in LA. Kinect is supposed to start shipping in November.
Update 2:
Microsoft just announced a new Xbox 360. It already ships this week.

Update 1: Kinect launches on November 4th.

The pricing has not been announced yet. Today Microsoft is holding their E3 2010 media event where all the details will be announced.

In the meantime rumors swirl around that Microsoft is also announcing a redesigned Xbox 360. The new Xbox 360 slim showed up in an web page ad in Italy according to Joystiq. The new Xbox 360 looks a bit different on the outside. On the inside it would feature a 250GB HDD, built-in Wi-Fi and Kinect compatibility.

I am currently pondering if Microsoft might just release a Kinect Xbox 360 bundle in November and not offer Kinect as stand-online in 2010. This would drive console sales this Christmas. It would outrage existing Xbox 360 gamers, but the pressure to own Kinect for the Holidays is pretty high. Many existing Xbox 360 owners would pay the price of the bundle to get their hands on Kinect.
The rumor that Kinect is not going into mass shipments in 2010 is supporting this idea. We will know in a couple of hours, when Microsoft is holding their E3 2010 media event.

Below you can watch a demo video of Kinect.

E3 2010 will start on June 15th and we will be at the show to bring your first hand coverage of the hottest new gaming gear. We expect to see and go hands on with the Nintendo 3DS, Playstation Move and Kinect for Xbox 360.
