Marcus Leto, Bungee's creative director, just took the stage at E3 2010. He thanked millions of users for the Halo Reach multiplayer beta, and then unveiled the world premier of the new game's campaign. Halo: Reach will ship this September.
This new Halo looks intense. Graphics have seen another great leap forward, and this game's scale looks like nothing we have ever seen before. Spartan soldiers are everywhere, marking a distinct shift from the way things stood in the original Halo games. This is a full-scale invasion, and it certainly looks like one.
The demo ended with Master Chief launching into space aboard a multi-stage rocket. Once he hits atmosphere, a giant space battle starts and the player gets a badass spaceship. This is definitely a new direction for Microsoft's iconic series.
