Want an even more eye-catching way to show off that you're a 4G early adopter? Best Buy will exclusively sell a white version of Sprint's EVO 4G, and has begun taking pre-orders today.
The white version of the phone will launch on July 11th at Best Buy and Best Buy Mobile locations across the country. It is priced at the same $199.99 tag that the regular, black, EVO 4G sells for, with a 2-year service contract from Sprint.
The EVO 4G launched earlier this month as the very first mobile phone to use a brand new spectrum called 4G. 4G can connect to the Internet by as much as 10 times faster than the current 3G spectrum being used by gadgets like Blackberries and iPhones.
Best Buy was a big partner for Sprint when the device launched, and in appreciation it gets this big exclusive deal. "We know that people turn to Best Buy for the latest consumer electronics, and now with our ability to exclusively debut great smartphones like the white version of HTC EVO 4G, they are turning to us for the best smartphones as well," said Best Buy Mobile CMO Jude Buckley.
Best Buy's Web site still only currently shows the black version of the EVO 4G, but it will assumedly add the white version some time later today.
