As if the allure of calorie-drenched burgers and fries wasn't enough, Burger King may be providing customers with a new incentive to grab a whopper or two later this year: cheap Xbox 360 games.
Back in 2006, Burger King and Microsoft formed an unusual partnership, bringing a trio of BK-themed video games to the Xbox 360. With the purchase of a value meal, customers could purchase a limited-edition video game for only $4.
The games - Sneak King, Big Bumpin, and Pocketbike Racer - all featured "The King" in a variety of fairly simplistic racing and adventure competitions. And they were received pretty well. It was seen as a huge success.
And according to Game Informer, the two companies are at it again. Back then, it was a way to promote the newly-released Xbox 360. This time, it's to showcase the new Kinect motion controller accessory.
"The promotion will take place during the Kinect launch, but it's unknown at this time if there will be more video games featuring The King, or if it's something more traditional," wrote Game Informer.
All I know is this means that I can go to Burger King this holiday season and totally write off my Whopper Jr meals as work expenses.
