The new iPhone 4 looks solid, but it will break if you drop it accidently.
A iPhone 4 bumper makes sense if you want to be on the safe side.
iFixYouri posted a video that shows how the iPhone 4 reacts to frequent droppings onto concrete.
The first drop is still fine and only leaves scratch marks, but the second already makes the iPhone 4 unconscious. A couple more drops and the screen shatters.
