Consumer Electronics Association (CEA) sees Black Friday sales start even earlier than last year. According to Twice, CEA's DuBravac said at the CEA Line Shows event: "a longer Black Friday than ever this year. Retailers will be looking to drive momentum early, so expect very early promotions. Cyber Monday -- it's now Cyber Week. Events drive traffic; retailers have learned this, so expect more of it".
In 2009 we have seen the first Black Friday deals launch on October 30th.
I would agree that we will see earlier Black Friday sales events this year. There is still a lot room to start Black Friday sales already in October. Manufacturers also launch their new products for the holiday season earlier. Playstation Move will launch on September 19th for instance.
We will of course go with the times and will have expanded Black Friday, Thanksgiving and Cyber Monday deals coverage this year.
