Sprint and Samsung today introduced the second 4G handset from Sprint, Samsung Epic 4G, a Galaxy S smartphone and Samsung Mobile's first 4G Android powered smartphone.
Galaxy S is Samsung's new sub-brand for smartphone offering a premium screen, speed and content features.
The new T-Mobile Vibrant is also a Samsung Galaxy S phone.
The Sprint Epic 4G is the first US 4G phone with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard.
Other features of the Android 2.1 powered Epic 4G include 4-inch Super AMOLED display, Samsung 1GHz Cortex A8 Hummingbird Application Processor, 5 MP camera/camcorder with autofocus, Power LED flash and 3x digital zoom for HD video, Wi-Fi b/g/n, 1500 mAh battery, front facing VGA camera, 6-axis accelerometer and DLNA.
Sprint expects to launch Android 2.2 for Samsung Epic 4G in the near future. Samsung highlights the 3D gaming capability of the Epic 4G.
Sprint will announce pricing and availability in the coming months. On the Sprint Epic 4G page you can get registered for updates.
