It looks like there's a good reason the HTC Incredible is constantly out of stock. HTC has created one of the toughest smartphones out there. Phandroid reports that an Android forums user was at a bonfire one night. Somehow (I suspect intoxication was involved) the phone fell into their fire pit. It emerged horribly scarred.
However, the damage appeared to be wholly cosmetic. The phone turned on and continued to work with no reported issues whatsoever. Basically, all the fire did was give him an extremely unique case-mod.
This says very good things for HTC's build quality, but that doesn't mean you should try chucking your phone into a bonfire. But if you do, send us pictures.
