Chevy has announced additional launch markets for the Volt. GM plans to build 11,000 Volts by the end of 2011 and produce 30,000 of the vehicles for 2012. Launch markets will include California, Washington, D.C., Austin, Texas, and the NYC Metro area.
Chevy reports that service coverage will be nationwide through Chevrolet Authorized Volt Service Dealers during the 12 to 18 month national rollout of the car. I wonder how well the volt will work in the sweltering Texas heat.
