HTC's first Windows Phone 7 handset in the UK will be the HTC Gold. Redmond Pie reports that it is expected to launch in November. This info comes courtesy of a leak from mobile operators in the UK.

We don't know anything hard about the Gold yet. From the concept shots, it looks like it will have a large screen in the same vein as the Evo and Galaxy S. You can probably also expect a 1 GHz processor of some sort. WMPowerUser reports that references have been found to a Sprint-bound version of the Gold as well.
