Gateway has pulled the wraps off a new netbook series that gets power from a AMD Athlon II Neo processor today. The machine has a larger screen than most Intel powered netbooks at 11.6-inches.

That screen offers HD resolution and is LED backlit. The LT32 netbook has HDMI output supporting 1080p resolution. The netbook weighs 2.76 pounds and uses a 6-cell battery promising 5.5 hours of runtime.

Hardware includes a Neo K125 CPU, 2GB of RAM, and ATI Radeon HD 4225 GPU with 384MB of dedicated memory. The screen resolution is 1366 x 768 and the machine has a 250GB HDD. All model shave WiFi and some will include 3G connectivity. The machine starts at $449.99.
