Borders Launches its eBook Store with Free Offers

Buy Kobos eReader from Amazon Cyber Monday and Black Friday Now

The Borders electronic bookstore has now officially opened. Borders has also announced its new Android and Blackberry apps for mobile phone users. The apps are now available on the Borders.com website for download.

Borders is giving anyone who downloads its mobile apps between July 9 and 11 five free books. These aren’t old books that you only want to read if you have too either. The books include Frankenstein by Dean Koontz, One Shot by Lee Child, The Alchemyst by Michael Scott, Julia Child’s Kitchen Wisdom and Master your Metabolism by Jillian Michaels.

The books can be downloaded on any of the apps including the apps for the iPhone and iPad. That is a good deal for the frequent reader. I hope the store has more action and sci-fi offerings than iBooks.
