Plustek Launches S400 and S420 Portable Scanners

Plustek has announced a couple new portable scanners that have launched today. The new scanners include the MobileOffice S400 and S420. Both can convert paper documents, expense reports, and business cards to PDFs.

Those PDFs can then be searched to make it easier to find the contact or document you are looking for. The S420 can scan at 12 pages per minute and the S400 is capable of three pages per minute.

Both also feature OCR tech that straightens documents so less rescanning is needed. The S400 sells for $159 and is available now. The S420 will ship next month for $199.

About the Geek Mind

The “geek mind” is concerned with more than just the latest iPhone rumors, or which company will win the gaming console wars. I4U is concerned with more than just the latest photo shoot or other celebrity gossip.

The “geek mind” is concerned with life, in all its different forms and facets. The geek mind wants to know about societal and financial issues, both abroad and at home. If a Fortune 500 decides to raise their minimum wage, or any high priority news, the geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants to know the top teams in the National Football League, or who’s likely to win the NBA Finals this coming year. The geek mind wants to know who the hottest new models are, or whether the newest blockbuster movie is worth seeing. The geek mind wants to know. The geek mind wants—needs—knowledge.
