Are you excited about the upcoming Christopher Nolam film Inception? If you are, I hope you own a Droid because Verizon is dealing out some exclusive stuff just for you.
Anyone who owns a Droid or Droid Incredible, and has Verizon Wireless service, can text "WAKEUP" to 5500 to receive a special download link. The link will install the app "Mind Crime Prevention."
The app contains exclusive videos, movie artwork, and even music along with a special social networking integration. Users can also use a picture of themselves to superimpose them into a scene from the movie.
"Verizon Wireless is providing breakthrough ways for audiences to connect with ‘Inception’ weeks before it comes to theaters. The way in which they are leveraging today’s technology to put a part of the moviegoing experience in the palm of your hand is very exciting," said Inception producer Emma Thomas.
The Droid is the top-selling Android phone and the second-best-selling mobile phone across all platforms in the US. For Verizon, it is a way to bring more attention to its V Cast service, which is usually overlooked by the Android Market.
Inception will be in theaters next Friday.
