The inexorable march of progress has eliminated one more product from our lives. Japanese teeth scientists have created the Soladey-3 (Gearlog), a toothbrush that functions without needing toothpaste. The solar panel on the rear sucks in light and the brush transmits electrons through the water to your teeth using a titanium oxide semiconductor.
This apparently destabilizes plaque, allowing you to brush it away. Personally, I'd wait to hear some expert takes on this before making a purchase. $131 is a lot of money to spend for something that might turn out to be ridiculous snake oil.
