The devastating Consumer Reports iPhone 4 antenna report pushed this issue up several levels over the last days. CR says that there is a physical flaw in the iPhone 4 antenna design and Apple cannot fix it via the promised iOS 4 software update.
Analysts are already calculating the cost of a iPhone 4 recall. Downwards movement of the Apple stock gets already linked to the issue. Others, like antenna expert Bob Egan question the CR test results. He says we know still nothing about the issue.
The uncertainty of the nature of the iPhone 4 antenna problem leaves consumers in a very bad place. It is really time that Apple responds again to this issue and settles it once and for all.
If not then SF Chronicle predicts bad things based on what has happened to the Apple G4 Cube.
