Wicked Lasers Puts Lucasfilm Cease and Desist Letter up for Auction

Like most geeks, I am a big fan of the Star Wars films. I have also been a fan of lots of the work George Lucas does, but recently he's seemed like a bit of a douche. You might recall that I mentioned early this month that Lucasfilm hit wicked Lasers with a cease and desist on a new laser that looked too much like a lightsaber.

Wicked Lasers has turned around and put that cease and desist letter up on eBay for auction. The bidding at the time of writing was up to $330. That seems like a lot of cash, but this may well be one of the most epic and legendary pieces of idiocy in Lucasfilm history.

The auction winner gets the letter along with clippings that Lucasfilm legal eagles printed out likening the Spyder III laser to a lightsaber. I wonder if the sale will go towards the legal defense for Wicked.
