The consumer electronics show IFA is taking place the 50th time this year. The IFA 2010 will be open from 3 to 8 September 2010 and the organizers expect significant growth.
The first IFA show took already place in 1924. The show did not take place during World War II and was also for the longest only taking place every 2nd year.
In the last couple of years the IFA has established itself as the platform to unveil new home entertainment products.
Now there is only CES in Las Vegas and IFA in Berlin to watch for new major consumer electronics announcements.
Dr. Christian Göke, Chief Operating Officer, Messe Berlin: "With IFA taking place for the fiftieth time this year we have every reason to celebrate. The level of bookings to date indicates that IFA’s success as the world’s leading industry event is set to continue and that it will expand even further. This year’s IFA will be a stronger and more global event than ever before."
The IFA 2010 will be all about 3D TV technology. See already our coverage of the upcoming LG Nano Full LED 3D TV. All other topics will be pushed into the background including TV internet services, tablets, smartphones, Hi-fi and ebooks.
Apple products get their own area at the IFA dubbed IFA iZone. IFA iZone has the entire range of Apple products and Mac applications on display.
We will be reporting about all new announcements from IFA 2010.
