Ouch. Windows 7 is a great PC operating system, but it is too battery-inefficient and clunky to make a suitable mobile OS. That's why it isn't very surprising that Asus is moving away from Windows 7 Compact and towards Android 3.0. The EP101TC will debut at CES 2011 in January. (NetbookNews)
We know this slate will have a 10.1” screen and a thickness of 12.2mm. It weighs 675 g and samples will be going out to carriers in December. This means we can expect to see a subsidized version (or more than one) out at launch.
