UK gamers have historically been raked over the coals when it comes to video game releases, as some titles take months to get from the US to the UK, but Nintendo won't let that happen with the 3DS.
According to VG247, Nintendo has confirmed to some UK game publishers that the 3DS would be available in stores in the country next March.
Nintendo had already revealed that the new handheld would be coming out in the US in March but nothing has officially been declared over the UK release date.
The 3DS has gained a lot of attention but it is not getting the usual buzz that most newly announced consoles get. That's probably because people cannot really appreciate the technology without seeing it for themselves.
So if Nintendo is smart, I would expect it to begin putting 3DS demo units at stores in both the UK and the US in early 2011 so that consumers can start getting excited about actually owning the device instead of making the decision to blind buy it on launch day.
