Skype announced an update to its Skype iPhone app. In May the company added 3G voice calls and now you can make these calls while using another app.
Skype says that you can receive Skype calls while other apps are running, even when your iPhone is locked. And during a call, you can keep the conversation going while you switch to another task, such as checking a movie listing or reading an email.

Skype also updated the app's graphics to support the iPhone 4 Retina Display.

The Skype app is available in the iTunes store.
