Sony is going all out for this year's Comic-Con, which officially begins today in San Diego, by offering video content from the show and a handful of promotions on the digital PlayStation Store.
The biggest deal to users is that between now and July 25, the always classic movie Godzilla 2000 is free to rent from the PlayStation Video Store.
In addition to that, Sony will be uploading daily footage from the show floor, just like it did with E3, featuring interviews, event footage, and just random looks at the crazy costumed people that make Comic-Con so great.
Another coup for Sony is that it somehow managed to get the license to distribute the new film Batman: Under the Red Hood before anyone else. It will become available exclusively on the PS Store on Saturday, ahead of the movie's official DVD launch.
And finally, anyone who buys any two movies from the PS Store between July 19 and July 25 will be automatically entered into a drawing to win a PSP prize package. And it's quite a package - the winner will get *four* PSPs, each custom-designed with comic book liveries. Actually, two winners will get that package. Three runners-up will win a $30 PlayStation Network gift card (which is cool because they are only available in stores in $20 and $50 denominations).
