There's been a fair amount of debate over how many hardware buttons Windows Phone 7 will require of its devices. Microsoft has just put up a thorough PDF that finally reveals just what to expect on our WP7 gadgets. The sum total? A whopping six hardware buttons (PocketNow).

There will be a power/sleep button, a volume up/down button, a camera button, a back button, a start button, and a search button. As you'd expect, clicking the search button will send you straight to Bing.
